Statement Of Intent
Statement Of Intent
For my billboard advertisement project, I will make sure
that it will comply to all rules set by the ASA.
Within my coursework, I guarantee that I will not include
any harmful or unsafe content such as nudity and excessive violence within my four
posters, avoiding any harm and offense to my audience. Also making sure my
posters are not socially irresponsible due to the fact a wide variety of
people, of any age, will see this poster as it will be on billboards in town
and city centres. Linking to the ASA (advertising standards authority), I will
make sure to ensure that my four advertisement posters will be responsible, a
poster suitable for all ages. My billboard advertisement broadcast time will be
after watershed, after 9pm, since my documentary is based around criminals and
this may not be suitable for younger children to see.
For my documentary posters to be successful with audiences,
it should be represented and portrayed in a positive light so that people will
be interested in watching it. I intend to create true crime-based documentary
posters, focusing on the dark side of adolescence. This documentary will be
based around investigators and criminally charged teenagers, I will aim to
represent the investigators in a mysterious way, using expressionless pictures
in my posters. I will represent the criminally charged teenagers as upset and
angry in the photographs which I will further use in my four posters. I will
represent both groups, adults and teenagers and the difference between the two.
My true crime inspired documentary will be primarily
targeted at an audience above the age of 13 who are interested in true crime,
to make this clear I will only use individuals above the age of 13 within my
poster. An example would be photographing teenagers and adults, not
photographing young children. This will appeal to individuals between the ages
of 14 – 20 years old due to true crime being incredibly popular among the
younger generations, creating a secured audience of true crime fans.
